She pursued professional legal training at The Gambia Law School, graduating among the top ten in her class, and was called to the Bar in The Gambia in November 2019. She later undertook further legal training at the Ghana School of Law as a post-call student and was called to the Ghana Bar in May 2021. Ama completed her national service at the Legal Aid Scheme and holds a professional certificate from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
