PortugalDiogo Pereira Coelho is a Founding Partner of Sypar (2023-present) and a Lawyer in private practice (2022-present), focusing his activity on: ● Tech and Digital Law (Web3, FinTech, DeFi, DLT, Tokenization, Crypto-Assets, CBDC, Metaverse, AI and Robotics); ● Tax Law (FinTax and Cryptotaxation); ● Criminal Law (Cybercrime, FinCrime and Asset Recovery); ● Administrative Offences Law, Regulation and Compliance (TMT, Finance, Banking, AML/ CFT, Data Protection, Cybersecurity, Digital Services and Markets). He is currently also an Instructor at Legal Place (2023) & Co-Founder at Germanic Link (2024). Prior to this professional experiences, he has worked as a Business Implementation Manager at BNP Paribas (2017-2018), as a Lecturer in the Legal Services Technician Professional Course (2018-2022), taught by the Institute for Social Development (IDS), and as an Associate Lawyer at Carlos Pinto de Abreu e Associados (2018-2022). Regarding his academic experience, he has a degree in Law and a Masters in Corporate Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, and he is currently a PhD student in Law and Taxation, at the University of Seville (EIDUS). He holds postgraduate studies in Company Law, Tax Law, Criminal Law, Administrative Offenses Law, Regulation and Compliance, all respectively completed at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon (CIDP, IDEFF and IDPCC) and the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra (IDPEE). He also holds the Certificate of Pedagogical Competences (CPP) and E-Trainer Certificate, both certified by the Institute Employment and Professional Training (IEFP). Also noteworthy is the associative experience, namely as an Associate of National Association of Young Portuguese Lawyers, Portuguese Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies Association, and Professional Association of Instructors, as a Member of European Criminal Bar Association, European Fraud and Compliance Lawyers, International Blockchain Association, European AI Alliance, and Legal Experts Advisory Panel of FairTrials, as an Effective Associate of Forum Penal, as a Fellow of Digital Euro Association and European Carbon Offset Tokenization Association, and as Ambassador of Blockchain Industry Group. He is fluent in PT, has full command of DE, advanced knowledge of EN, and intermediate knowledge of ES.
